Every year, during Advent (the period of the four Sundays before Christmas) the colourful Christmas market is held in Place St Lambert and Place du March in Liege. Thousands of visitors attend the market and enjoy the holiday atmosphere of the place. Giant Christmas trees with colourful lights, Christmas songs played all over, and more than two hundred booths sell presents, holiday decorations, toys and holiday delicacies.
