Riva is the main resort at the northern end of Lake Garda and boasts superb scenery, elegant parks and a long lakeside promenade. It has many fine buildings, especially around colourful Piazza Tre Novembre and the 12th Century La Rocca castle dominates the waterfront. In the cobbled streets of the old town you will find an excellent variety of shops, attractive terrace cafés, bars and restaurants.
